| The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Children’s Volunteer Health Network present the 2006 Destin Charity Bowl. The Destin Charity Bowl has been organized as a fund raising event to donate over $50,000 in 2006 to help local area families that are affected by cystic fibrosis. CFF funds research to find a cure for cystic fibrosis. “Adding tomorrows every day” expresses the mission and results of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's steadfast efforts to continue extending the length and quality of life for people with cystic fibrosis (CF). Perhaps the best measure of these efforts is the fact that the median age of survival for people with CF increased to nearly 37 years in 2005. The Children’s Volunteer Health Network will provide support to Destin-area families that are in desperate need of the daily necessities to fight the every day battles of this disease. |
| Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 people in the United States. Although significant advancements have been made over the past 50 years, there is still no cure for this life-shortening disease. By supporting the Destin Charity Bowl, YOU can help bring us that much closer to making cystic fibrosis a thing of the past. |
