We have already started planning for the 2007 Gulf Coast Great strides. It is a fundraising event where people come together and form teams who raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The event itself is a celebration of the money that has been raised by each team. We have free food and drink provided by local fabulous restaurants for all our walkers. For the past 3 years country Christian music singer Daron Norwood has entertained us all with an awesome concert. There are activities for the kids and the local fire department attends to kick off our walk in style.

This will be our fourth year for this successful event. Village Baptist has graciously hosted our event every year and we thank them for the use of such a great facility. We are hoping that once again country Christian music singer Daron Norwood will entertain all our walkers with great music. We will also once again have a fabulous prize drawing with over $5,000 worth of prizes to be given away.

There are several ways to be a part of Great Strides: Form a team of 10 friends and family and have them all get 10 people to sponsor them with a ten dollar donation you will have raised $1,000 for a cure for CF, be a sponsor: click on the button at left to view the sponsorship information for Great Strides 2007, or be a volunteer. We have lots of help with our event this year thanks to all you wonderful volunteers on our committee but we can always use more.
